Markus Mueller is the Owner and Managing Director of Outdoor Solutions Landscape & Civil, a leading landscaping and civil construction company based in Cairns, Far North Queensland. With over two decades of hands-on industry experience, Markus has established a reputation for delivering high-quality projects across both commercial and residential markets.
Markus is a strategic and forward-thinking leader who has successfully guided Outdoor Solutions through periods of growth and change. By rebranding to Outdoor Solutions Landscape & Civil and implementing advanced business systems—including Simpro, Xero, SiteDocs, Bluebeam, and Go High Level CRM—Markus has positioned the business as an industry leader in efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction.
His approach to business reflects a “less is more” philosophy, focusing on well-planned, profitable projects, exceptional client service, and the growth of his team.
Markus is passionate about developing the next generation of landscapers, personally mentoring apprentices and fostering a strong, supportive workplace culture. He is also currently expanding his business capacity by recruiting a virtual assistant and strengthening internal operations to support future growth.
Beyond his professional achievements, Markus is a proud Cairns local who has always maintained strong ties to his community. Outdoor Solutions has a long history of sponsoring local sporting teams and providing in-kind support to community groups, reflecting Markus’s belief in giving back.
He has also dedicated time as a volunteer with the Cairns Brothers Rugby League Club, where he was deeply committed to supporting the well-being and development of young athletes.

Terry is the Outdoor Solutions Queensland Team Leader and oversees each project and the team members working on-site. Terry manages each project across multiple locations, ensuring efficient use of time with weather management and planning. Terry liaises with clients on-site and suppliers who deliver large structures and landscaping supplies. The toughest challenge in civil and landscape construction is the logistical challenges and of course, the lovely Far North Queensland tropical heat, whilst at the same time, the challenging aspect of Terry’s role, makes it the rewarding part.
Liam’s key role at Outdoor Solutions is creating beautiful landscapes and gardens. Completing a course in Rural Operations and previously working with Tableland Regional Council, Liam really enjoys working with the team at Outdoor Solutions. Having a great team of guys where everyone experiences satisfaction equally at a job well done and with happy clients, even with the challenges of working in the heat and Cairns humidity.
Kieran is new to landscaping industry, with a passion in plumbing and irrigation, synonymous with the landscaping and civil construction sector. Kieran is learning new things every day, across multiple projects and client requirements. Kieran loves showcasing his learned skills in everyday projects that he’s gained since starting with Outdoor Solutions and meeting new clients and being a part of making truly incredible outdoor spaces.
Christian is the Trade Assistant to the landscapers, predominately labouring and assisting our Team Leader with prospering work form work and concreting. Bringing over four years of experience in Civil Construction, which translates well into landscaping. The benefit of landscaping in a place like Far North Queensland is the tropical beauty of our city, creating and delivering high-end landscaping work that leaves clients very happy is the best feeling, even after we’re been working in the humidity year-round, that’s why we do it and love it.
